2025 Spring Concert: “Old Music Made New”

Assistant Conductor Chris Chelgren directs our spring concert on April 13, 2025, at 3:30 p.m. at Sundin Music Hall on the Hamline University campus, 1531 Hewitt Ave., St. Paul. Chris will also do double duty on the Telemann Viola Concerto, conducting while performing as the viola soloist.

Join us for a variety of lively music, from the Renaissance-inspired “Capriol Suite” to the oldie but goodie “Viva la Vida” by Coldplay.

About RSE

The Roseville String Ensemble (RSE) is the Twin Cities’ only amateur string orchestra. RSE was formed in 1998 to bring together amateur string players to learn and perform ensemble music, foster the players’ personal growth and satisfaction, and contribute to the community through music.

RSE plays music not typically performed by other community orchestras, including Baroque concerti grossi, string suites, and contemporary works for string orchestra. We perform three free public concerts each season. The musicians also participate in weekly chamber groups throughout the summer, and small groups of players perform occasionally for community events.
